As Muslims we believe charity is a way of bringing justice and equality to society and both are the essence of Islam.
We at Islamic Store believe that everyone, irrespective of race, colour or faith has the fundamental right to a life of dignity, free of poverty and oppression. We also believe poverty can be eradicated, as it exists primarily due to the unjust distribution of wealth.
Therefore we have taken the step to do our bit for the charity, not only to help the society but to help ourselves on the day of Judgement. As the final Prophet of God (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Protect yourself from the Hell-fire even by giving a piece of a date as charity.” Sahih Bukhari
Over the next coming years (Insha’Allah) we will be supporting a number of charities and organisations that reflect areas of community living that we care about. We aim to do this by:
- Sponsoring Events
- Donating to Dawah organisations
- Donating to emergency appeals
We can only outline the plans, but with your help and with the will of Allah we can make this sincere intention come to existence.
